DSCF0211In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Good Fences?.”

Who are my neighbors?  Those who live on the other side of the “fence”?  On the right side I have a lovely neighbor, she has a Labrador Retriever named “Sam”, he always makes his presence known by barking whenever he comes outside.  I love Labradors, and our neighbor is always pleasant.

My neighbors on the left are good friends to us.  We enjoy each other’s company, and help each other, we BBQ, and go out to dinner at times, as well.  We look out for each other’s well being, and share a drink, coffee, wine, or beer, sitting on our deck, or under their gazebo in their back yard.  I think our neighborhood is caring, and during the winter, and times of power outages, we all help each other by sharing our showers and gas stove, or wood, for the wood burning stoves many of us own to heat our homes.

Summer time is wood collecting/splitting time, the neighbors get together and share their log splitters, or hand split the wood together.

Our neighbor Joe, has a riding lawn mower, he cuts his grass, and then will cut ours, its been this way for some time, we appreciate his efforts very much.

John is always ready to help our neighbors whenever they call.  John (my husband) is part of what makes this neighborhood a nice place to live.  I believe you get what you give, and by so doing, our neighbor’s are some of the best anyone could ask for.

About rsrwrn2014

Married, also RN x 30+ years. My blog title Fashion in a Bathrobe Lifestyle resulted from my lifestyle outside of work. Although I love fashion, beauty, and all things style-related, the major portion of my days doesn't allow for fashion/style. I wear uniforms, and sneakers mostly. I love make-up, clothes, hairstyle/color so much......I'm a frustrated fashionista. I blog to express my feelings about the idea of being fashionable, yet professional. I find pleasure in things that are designed to make us "feel" more beautiful. Although presently I am leaning toward a more is less lifestyle and purging, as well as learning to be myself, without the fashion, style, and beauty burden I've carried for so long. I blog about what I am learning now.

    Interesting blog enjoyed reading it.
I’m doing “Blogging 101” assignments, for Day 11, I picked “Good Fences” which was a prompt I found interesting. Today Day 12 we are asked to go and read six posts and comment.
It looks like the prompt I picked, there were not many recent ones.
So I’m commenting and it’s very nice to meet another writer, that knows what good neighbours are.
Hopefully, you read this, I’m having a little problem wondering what to say. I will now have a look at another good fences, Daily writing prompt. Hope you are having a great start to 2016.
